Appearing after "III-The Empress" in the tarot's downward progression from "0-The Fool to "XXI-The World" is dah-dah-dahhhh ... "IV-The Emperor".
So, in other words, appearing after the "the evening star by day" (Venus) is the "man from Mars" (Aries).
Whereas "III-The Empress" is the bringer of life more abundant "IV-The Emperor " now emerges to rule over and protect the entirety of this life.
He rules with the might of his will and of his sword. He rules with his hand and with his stern gaze. Ultimately he rules with the whole of his red, instinctual nature.
